{"id":1833,"date":"2014-08-11T11:40:43","date_gmt":"2014-08-11T18:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.seattlespermbank.ca\/?page_id=1833"},"modified":"2018-06-11T13:00:33","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T20:00:33","slug":"faq","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.seattlespermbank.ca\/fr\/faq\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQ &#8211; Frequently Asked Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>What types of units do you offer and which type do I need?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u252c\u00e1We have four different unit types here at Seattle Sperm Bank:<\/p>\n<p>IUI (intra-uterine insemination) or \u0393\u00c7\u00a3washed\u0393\u00c7\u00a5<br \/>\nICI (intra-cervical insemination) or \u0393\u00c7\u00a3unwashed\u0393\u00c7\u00a5<br \/>\nIUI ART (intra-uterine insemination assisted reproductive technologies)<br \/>\nICI ART (intra-cervical insemination assisted reproductive technologies)<\/p>\n<p>IUI are usually used for an insemination directly into the uterus with a physician.<br \/>\nICI are typically used at home or if the doctor\u0393\u00c7\u00d6s office wants to wash the sample first.<br \/>\nART units are often used for IVF as they have fewer sperm cells than the regular units.<\/p>\n<p>Your doctor can advise you as to which type you will need for your given procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Please refer to this link for more information. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlespermbank.com\/demystifying-iui-ici-ivi-and-ivf\/\">https:\/\/www.seattlespermbank.com\/demystifying-iui-ici-ivi-and-ivf\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What if I want to use my same donor in the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We strongly encourage our clients to purchase additional units for their favorite donor and place them into storage. We cannot guarantee that your donor will be available when you are ready to inseminate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if my selected donor has no available units?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your selected donor(s)\u252c\u00e1has no\u252c\u00e1available inventory of the unit type that you are looking for, please call us at 206-588-1484 to request about inventory status.\u252c\u00e1If no units are available at the moment,\u252c\u00e1we may be able to provide you with an estimated timeline of when inventory may become available. We can also put you on the wait-list for a specific donor (see details below).<\/p>\n<p><strong>I want to purchase more units of my donor, but he is out of units at the moment. What do I do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We can put you on the waitlist for your donor by reserving a maximum of five units that are in quarantine. You can only be on the waitlist for one donor at a time. You cannot reserve units that are available for purchase. When the units are released from quarantine you will be notified via email and to purchase them before the units are made available to the general public. Please call or email to be placed on the waitlist.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlespermbank.com\/services\/vial-reservation\/\">https:\/\/www.seattlespermbank.com\/services\/vial-reservation\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>I am ready to purchase, what do I need to do next?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We advice you to speak with your doctor or nurse first. They will be able to advise you what type of units you will need,\u252c\u00e1when you need the units to arrive at their office, and the insemination procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to shipping the units, you will also need to submit the appropriate forms to us.
